'Strive to Succeed'

Autumn Term

We have started off the new school year with our new 'active challenge'  Each month there will be a new challenge for the children to complete at home.  The aim is to then post your personal best on twitter, so that we can all see how well everyone is doing.

We have had another successful term of cross country, with lots of runners turing up in all weathers and putting in a great effort!

Our Year 1/2 football team attended a tournament at St Matthew's and got through to the semi-finals.  It went to extra time, but they lost on penalties.  They did a fabulous job!

Our Y6 football team took part in the inaugural Active Soccer Tournament in the last week of last half-term. Due to one school withdrawing at short notice, our team was split into two separate teams. Team 2 finished 3rd and Team 1 finished top of the group standings. In the knockout finals, Team 2 narrowly lost but Team 1 won making them the overall champions.

A team of Y5/6 pupils enjoyed a full afternoon of indoor athletics at Priestley College. They enjoyed taking part in both track and field events.

Six Y4 pupils took part in the annual Broomfields Swimming Gala. Two of our swimmers qualified for the final of their stroke and the team finished 5th overall.
