WELCOME/VIRTUAL TOUR
Welcome to Stockton Heath Primary School. I am immensely proud and honoured to be the Headteacher of such a wonderful school which boasts the most hardworking, supportive, dedicated and passionate children, parents, staff and governors I have ever had the pleasure of working with.
Stockton Heath Primary School is a two-form entry community school which caters for pupils between the ages of 4 and 11 (EYFS-Y6) and is situated right in the heart of Warrington’s most attractive and prestigious village.
Our impressive, modern site comprises a two-story building with a large playground and artificial pitch at the rear and an Early Years outdoor provision area at the front. The bright, spacious indoor environment is comprised of: 14 classrooms, 2 halls, a Reading Room, a Computing/Conference Suite, a whole-school Library, a Food Technology Room, a Rainbow Room and numerous additional small group and intervention teaching rooms.
A private day nursery facility, Little Lot, is also based at the school which children from the age of 2 upwards attend. Our on-site breakfast and after-school club 'Stocky's' is led and managed directly by the school and staffed with the school's own qualified teaching assistants, play supervisors and play workers.
Our warm, friendly and welcoming ethos, our purposeful, resourceful classroom environments, our passion for creativity and our caring and sharing nature make this a fantastic place to work, learn and play. Everyone within our school community is resolutely committed to our motto and mission statement and to developing and embedding our core values and personal characteristics.
Our most recent Ofsted inspection (22nd January 2019) confirmed that the overall effectiveness of the school continues to be ‘good’ with the behaviour of pupils recognised as a real strength of the school. 'Pupils know what it means to be patient, courageous and kind' and are 'proud of the qualities and values that they have identified within their school'. Leadership, management and governance of the school are identified as strong features and 'pupils make good progress across the curriculum'.
I hope you find this website informative and enjoy learning more about our high academic standards, our rigorous school development processes, our broad, balanced, personalised and inclusive curriculum and our desire to inspire, challenge and enrich the learning experience for all our pupils.
I would strongly urge you to come and see first-hand and in person what make makes this school so special.
