Children come to school in PE kit and wear their kits all day on their designated PE day(s).
Y4 & 5 pupils take part in swimming lessons. Children will require swimming costume/trunks and they may wear goggles. All swimming lessons take place at Broomfields Leisure Centre.
All items of school uniform must be clearly labelled with the child’s name.
Footwear
All pupils should wear black shoes of a sensible style, suitable for school wear. Children are not permitted to wear trainers (including black ones), boots, strappy sandals or fashion shoes to school.
Jewellery
For Health and Safety reasons, children are not permitted to wear jewellery to school, other than a wrist watch (no Smart watches) and stud earrings. All wrist watches and stud earrings must be removed/covered for PE lessons.
Ear Piercing
If your child has recently had their ears pierced, they must cover studs for a period of up to 6 weeks for all PE lessons while the piercing heals. We would ask that if you are considering ear piercing for your child that you restrict this to the first week of the summer holidays.
Make-up
Children must not wear nail varnish or any other form of make-up to school.
Bags
We would like EYFS, Y1 and Y2 children to use only a book bag to carry their books and equipment to/from school because they are allocated a tray in the classroom designed specifically to fit their book bag in. Y3-6 may continue to use a book bag if they wish but they are permitted to bring a different bag or rucksack if they would prefer. Handbags are not permitted.
